The hostel kitchen, in one app
The cook's side of HostelPalika is the kitchen and nothing else: the week's menu, the residents' khata asks to hand over, and photos of the food.
See and keep the hostel's weekly menu, meal by meal.
Residents ask for items on their khata — an egg, an extra meal, laundry — and the cook hands them over in the app. What is handed over goes onto the resident's next rent bill as one line, so nobody keeps a notebook.
Post photos of the meals the kitchen serves.
The app opens with the account's own 4-digit PIN or a fingerprint, and the web portal asks for the same PIN. Ten wrong PINs in a row block it until it is reset with an email code.
Your hostel owner creates your account. There is nothing to buy.
Questions from cooks
The hostel owner creates the cook's login. A cook without an email gets a login made for them and signs in with a password.
No. A cook sees the kitchen — the menu and the khata asks — and nothing about rent or other residents' details.
